What is Memory Care?
Our secured Memory Care floor, located within the Sunshine Centre, offers all-inclusive support for adults living with dementia. Residents benefit from 24/7 personalized care provided by registered staff, including responsive, non-scheduled assistance when needed. Daily therapeutic programming and meaningful activities promote independence, dignity, and connection, in a supportive environment.

Our home is carefully designed to provide safety and familiarity, supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality dementia care.
Secure floor with 33 private suites featuring a walk-in shower and accessibility features
Studio, one, and two-bedroom layouts, including the region’s only two-bedroom suite
Caring nursing team and on-site physician who supports residents with primary care
Medication administration supported by a trusted partner pharmacy
Nightly safety checks and wander alert bracelets for added peace of mind
Daily assistance with bathing, toileting, and continence care
Three chef-prepared meals daily, plus snacks and portering to and from the dining room
Daily housekeeping and personal laundry service
Specialized programming seven days a week, tailored to residents’ needs and interests
Memory Care Navigator to coordinate holistic and creative care planning
Supportive Living in Memory Care
Parkview Suites offers all-inclusive Memory Care in a secure, supportive environment for adults living with dementia. Located within the Sunshine Centre, the secured Memory Care floor provides opportunities for residents to maintain independence while receiving personalized care from our professional team. Residents benefit from daily therapeutic programming and can engage in meaningful activities throughout the wider campus.
Care and Resident Eligibility
Augmented Care Options
If your loved one requires support beyond our all-inclusive care, you’re welcome to arrange private augmented services through external providers. These can include personalized one-on-one assistance or companionship tailored to individual needs. We also partner with Ontario Health atHome, and some residents may qualify for additional publicly funded care through their programs.
Please note that residents must:
Be able to eat independently, as hands-on feeding assistance is not included in our services.
Be able to participate in a two-person transfer with the ability to bear weight.
Not be fully immobile or confined to bed.
Not exhibit aggression behaviours.

Intellectual
Enriching programs such as art classes, outdoor horticultural programming, and Java Music Club. The Village is also certified in the Tovertafel system, an innovative tool designed to support cognitive stimulation in dementia care.
Physical
A Registered Kinesiologist designs daily personalized fitness programs, expansive walking areas, onsite physician and a range of services provided by visiting paramedical and aesthetic professionals (see campus page for details)
Environmental
Thoughtfully designed spaces including bright colour doors for wayfinding, familiar animal-themed artwork, private dining room, secured outdoor terrace and inviting seating areas that encourage conversation and connection.
Emotional
Multisensory therapy, interactive music sessions led by a certified Music Therapist, visiting therapy animals, caregiver support groups and family resources.
Social
Live concerts, weekly off-campus outings on the Village Bus, one-on-one visits, nail painting, and games that promote connection and enjoyment.
Spiritual
A two-storey chapel, visiting clergy, weekly worship services, and hymn sings that nurture reflection and community.
Vocational
Helping Hands activity allow residents to participate in familiar daily tasks like folding laundry, offering a sense of purpose and routine.
Nutritional
Homemade meals that promote healing, snacks, and refreshments throughout the day, along with access to cafés serving specialty coffees and beverages.
