About Our Village

Our Village is a division of Starling Community Services (formerly Lutherwood), a not for profit social service organization that provides a wide range of mental health, employment, housing and family support services. Starling Community Services has been an integral part of Waterloo Region serving thousands annually for more than 50 years.

Luther Village on the Park has been in operation since 1997. We are a single site retirement community with more than 450 residents benefiting from the extensive services and amenities offered. Residents residing within the Village can ‘age in place’ by transitioning from living an independent lifestyle to one with higher levels of service. Residents are able to continue many of the facets of their lifestyle as they age, while remaining connected to family and friends.

Starling Child & Family Foundation

Founded in 1981, the Starling Child and Family Foundation provides strategic oversight and governance to ensure the long-term sustainability and high-quality management of the Luther Village community. Operational leadership is handled by the senior management team, who are available onsite to support residents and their families.
