The History of Our Acreage
Before Luther Village on the Park became a retirement community in Waterloo, the property was home to the Sunshine Waterloo Company. From the 1930s through the mid-1900s, this 285,000-square-foot factory produced everything from farm equipment and bicycles to vital wartime supplies. The name “Sunshine Centre” for our Independent and Assisted Living residences continues to honour this history today.
